If you didn't know!

If you're not typing it in already, make sure to update your bookmarks to go to Http://www.cityeyesphoto.com because as of now, this blog is obsolete, yup you heard it here first. Straight from Kyle pretending he's some sort of giver of exclusive news. I've moved to Pixelpost and have a site that I'm incredibly happy with on another server! Thanks!

The pollution by the lake makes the sunsets beautiful, oddly enough.
Updates! I went to the beach!

Dark Alley on New Years
Chicago New Years - Navy Pier Spotlights
This shot is ridiculously odd, but I liked the composition, so i decided to throw it in there. Those are my sister's feet...she's been bothering me to put her in here...I'm sure she didn't have this in mind.

Just a shot to let you guys know I'm alive. I went downtown in Bloomington today because it was so nice. Got some pictures that I'm very happy with.
This graffiti stood out on the red brick wall it was on. Surrounded by other, less interesting images, it caught my eye.

Just wanted to update a bit to make sure you guys know I'm alive. The healing process is going well, so i'll be fine soon enough! This is an old shot that I never uploaded, nothing incredible, I guess I just like the car.

Just wanted to randomly pop in to say that the surgery went well and I'm already up and walking around. I WAS contemplating posting a shot of my wound, which is unbelievable, but I'll let you guys decide if I should do that or not.

Update: If you are so inclined, here it is.

Monday, May 23, 2005

This may be one of the last pictures I post for quite a while. Tomorrow morning I will be going into surgery (for my back), and It's going to leave me mostly bedridden for quite a bit (around 2 months). When i'm up for it, I plan on figuring out a way to shoot while mostly immobile and hopefully I can still keep updating as often as I do. For now I'm throwing out one of my favorite Chicago pics from the last time I went. Enjoy and thanks for all of the support! Be back as soon as possible :D.

Train Station on the New River
Another Shot of the New River
I know, these recent shots don't run along with the norm of my photography, but I've been trying to expand my expertise in certain subjects. I love nature, but have never been that good at capturing it in photograph.
My favorite shot of the New River (The river that I and my friends white water rafted down). I dragged my camera up to an overlook and took some shots.
My favorite night shot so far, had to hold the shutter button down for around 6 minutes for this one (the minimum to show any sort of movement in the stars). The light on the tree is from a fire, the movement of the stars is from the orbit!

Just to clarify, I took multiple shots before this before discovering a method of bracing that actually works. It's usually easy to distinguish hand-shake from movement in picture, and if the other shots that were taken were posted it would be even more apparent (it took me a few tries before I perfected a way to brace the camera for such a long time without setting it up on my tripod). First off, the stars are moving in a circular motion, orbiting, all around a central star in the upper left corner of the picture. Secondly, no movement is shown in the tree other than changes in light (the light of the fire). I might blow this picture up and post it so people of higher resolution can tell the difference.

Walked Bloomington streets today, it was a great time. I'm not that good at small town shots. I took a shot of this wall because it had a lot of character.

Waves
This is a pretty old shot I took of two of my friends.

Wednesday, March 30, 2005

Recently turned this shot monochrome and discovered that I liked it a lot.

My grandfather wanted me to take pictures of his car (which hasn't been touched for about 40 years) to put into the newspaper. I took the opportunity to take a few shots...this is one of my favorites.

I've decided that overall this is my favorite out of all of the fountain shots. I like how the smallest person there (a toddler) ends up right in the center.

I've actually put this up on ebay, so if anyone feels like supporting a starving artist, chip in a bit.

My photo

Night version of my earlier canal shot.

I loved those fountains, they gave me so many photo opportunities.

Side shot of the fountain.

Chicago Summer Revisited - These are some of the shots that I didn't include in my initial upload. Since Winter is going slow for me photo wise, I'm updating with a few that I enjoyed that I never got up or various versions of the ones that are posted.

One of my shots got on Jones Naturals! Finally!

Finally I update. Sorry for the long delay and Happy New Year to everyone. I took this in Chicago during sunset.

My sis Jillian. She's pretty photogenic when it comes to acting naturally.

This is Nothing Incredible, but I think I like the composition and colors.

Random picture I recently realized I like.

Random Sumo Shot

Chicago by day.

Just a tad out of order. Man i'm lazy when it comes to the photoblog.

Millenium Park Fountain. Shadows.

I like this shot a lot. Pity it came out blurred. Remember none of these pictures as of now have been taken with tripods and it can get tricky with long exposures.

Another Random Shot I took.

Millenium Park Fountain at night.

Navy Pier

Abstract shot inside of "The Bean".

Navy Pier Ferris Wheel

Resting in a field in the middle of Chicago.

Chicago Flowers. The idea of flowers in the middle of a city is pretty cool.

The "Bean" of Millenium Park, Chicago. Daytime of course.
