My favorite night shot so far, had to hold the shutter button down for around 6 minutes for this one (the minimum to show any sort of movement in the stars). The light on the tree is from a fire, the movement of the stars is from the orbit!
Just to clarify, I took multiple shots before this before discovering a method of bracing that actually works. It's usually easy to distinguish hand-shake from movement in picture, and if the other shots that were taken were posted it would be even more apparent (it took me a few tries before I perfected a way to brace the camera for such a long time without setting it up on my tripod). First off, the stars are moving in a circular motion, orbiting, all around a central star in the upper left corner of the picture. Secondly, no movement is shown in the tree other than changes in light (the light of the fire). I might blow this picture up and post it so people of higher resolution can tell the difference.
